New Pet Food Automatic Bagging Line Installed at Avenal PetFood

At Boga Técnica, we continue to invest in innovative solutions for industrial automation. As part of this commitment, we have recently completed the commissioning of a new complete automatic bagging line for pet food at Avenal PetFood’s production facility.

This project further strengthens the long-standing partnership between both companies. Unlike the four bagging lines previously supplied by Boga Técnica for Avenal PetFood’s production plants in Monte Redondo and Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, this new installation incorporates a distinctive technology designed to improve package presentation and increase operational flexibility.

Advanced Technology in a Complete Automatic Bagging Line

The core of the installation is the FPK48 PKT vertical bagging machine. This solution produces bags with corner seals from tubular film, delivering a premium finish that closely resembles a pre-made open-mouth bag while maintaining the efficiency advantages of vertical form-fill-seal technology.

The machine can handle bag sizes ranging from 2 kg to 20 kg through interchangeable forming tubes. This flexibility allows quick adaptation to different product formats and production requirements. In addition, the system is designed to process a wide range of packaging materials, meeting the evolving demands of the pet food industry.

Highest Standards of Quality Control

The line integrates several inspection and quality control systems to ensure product integrity throughout the process.

The installation includes:

Metal detector.
Automatic checkweigher.
Automatic reject systems for non-conforming products.

This combination of technologies helps ensure compliance with the highest quality and food safety standards.

End-of-Line Automation in a Complete Automatic Bagging Line

After the bagging and inspection stages, bags are automatically transferred to the PG-120 layer palletizer, which accurately builds stable pallet loads.

The pallets are then conveyed to the Uniwrap 200 automatic stretch wrapper equipped with top-sheet application, providing optimal protection during storage and transportation.

The integration of these technologies transforms the project into a complete automatic bagging line, where every stage of the process is designed to maximize productivity, improve efficiency and minimize manual handling.

Flexibility and Performance of a Complete Automatic Bagging Line

The installation is designed to handle both 800 x 1,200 mm Euro pallets, widely used within the pet food industry, and 600 x 800 mm half pallets.

In addition, the system incorporates an automatic pallet stacking solution that allows two half pallets to be combined onto a master pallet before wrapping. This feature improves logistics efficiency and facilitates container loading operations, achieving pallet heights of up to 2,400 mm.

Automatic bagging lines | Exposólidos 2026

Automatic bagging lines were one of the main solutions presented by Boga Técnica during its participation at Exposólidos 2026, held at Fira Barcelona. The exhibition is one of the most important international events dedicated to bulk solids technology.

The event took place from February 10 to 12 and brought together companies, manufacturers and professionals specialized in bulk solids handling and processing. In addition, it provided an excellent opportunity to present our solutions for automated bagging systems and industrial end-of-line automation.

Automatic bagging lines at stand E223

During the three days of the exhibition, Boga Técnica was present at stand E223, where we welcomed numerous visitors interested in our automatic bagging lines and industrial automation solutions.

The fair was also a great opportunity to meet customers and industry professionals. In addition, we explained how our bagging systems help improve production efficiency and reliability in industrial environments.

These solutions allow companies to optimize production processes and improve the performance of end-of-line operations.

Bagging technology with Concetti and Wiese

At this edition of the exhibition we shared our stand with two of our strategic suppliers.

On the one hand, Concetti, a leading company in the design and manufacturing of automatic bagging and palletizing lines for a wide range of industrial sectors.

On the other hand, Wiese, specialists in rubber chain bucket elevators designed to handle a wide variety of products safely and efficiently.

Thanks to this collaboration, Boga Técnica can offer complete solutions including conveying, bagging and palletizing systems adapted to the specific needs of each customer.

Solutions for bulk packaging automation

During the exhibition we presented several solutions designed to improve packaging processes for bulk solid materials. In particular, we showed how automatic bagging lines can automate end-of-line operations.

These systems help optimize production performance, reduce operating times and improve process safety.

Furthermore, many of these solutions can be easily integrated into existing installations. As a result, companies can modernize their production processes without major modifications to their plants.
