Pellets Asturias S.L., located in Tineo (Asturias, Spain), has recently incorporated a modern pellet bagging line installed by Boga Técnica. This new installation improves the efficiency of the packaging process, optimizes the end-of-line operations and ensures optimal protection of the final product thanks to the Stretch Hood wrapping system.
Located in the southwest of Asturias, Pellets Asturias has become a reference company in the production of wood pellets, following an industrial model focused on efficiency, sustainability and high product quality.
Sustainable Wood Pellet Production
The plant uses natural wood as raw material, obtained from by-products of the primary wood processing industry such as sawdust, wood chips and debarked logs. The process does not use additives or chemical treatments.
Pellets Asturias was also the first Spanish company to obtain the ENplus A1 certification, one of the most demanding quality standards in the wood pellet industry. In addition, the company holds sustainability certifications such as PEFC, which guarantee responsible forest management.

Energy Efficiency and Circular Economy
The factory integrates several systems that contribute to a high level of energy efficiency throughout the production process.
On the one hand, the facility has a biomass power generation plant that allows it to produce almost all the electricity required for its operations. On the other hand, process residues are reused to maximize energy efficiency.
For example, excess heat from the boiler is reused for other internal processes within the plant, reducing overall energy consumption and improving operational efficiency.
Thanks to this production model, Pellets Asturias represents a clear example of circular economy, reusing forestry and wood industry residues to produce renewable energy with minimal environmental impact.
New Pellet Bagging Line
To optimize the packaging process for the domestic 15 kg bag format, Pellets Asturias relied on Boga Técnica for the supply and installation of a fully automated pellet bagging line.
This pellet bagging line improves plant productivity and ensures an efficient and reliable packaging process, while allowing the configuration of different pallet formats and patterns.
The installation includes the following equipment:

Brushless gravity weigher
The pellet bagging line has a production capacity of up to 1,000 bags per hour, allowing fully automatic pallet configuration with different pallet sizes and mosaic patterns.
